A small-time rancher (Christain Bale) agrees to hold a captured outlaw (Russel Crowe) who’s awaiting a train to go to court in Yuma. A battle of wills ensues as the outlaw tries to psych out the rancher.
It was alright I suppose, I found some of it a bit unbelieveable and the ending was a little stupid. However, Christain bale was very good and Russel Crowe was well, Russel Crowe as he always seems to be. I’m a bit bored of Russel Crowe, he was brilliant in the Gladiator and the “The Insider” which I think was the best film of his a career, but since then he’s just Russel in every film I’ve seen him in.
Leave it until its on the telly 6/10

If you get chance watch the original with Glenn Ford and Van Heflin. I really enjoyed it about 50 years ago! Might seem dated now but it’s worth watching if only for the opening shot and the Frankie Lane song-very popular at the time.
Watched this last night and it was total rubbish. I’d only give it 1/10 and that is just for switching the cameras on!
