I tried out Channel 4’s on demand service this week as K had missed an episode of Jamie Olivers new series. The installation was easy and everything worked perfectly straight away. I downloaded the programme and watched it full screen and I was pretty impressed with the quality it was just like watching a programme on the telly.
There is loads of stuff to watch, films, channel 4 programmes and content from the National Geographic channel.
You can catch up on programmes from the previous week for free but you have to pay for most programmes which is 99p per download and you can rent films which are £2.99.
The software used is Microsoft based and I have read that you may have to have the latest version of media player and it also continues to exchange files while it is not in use which may slow your connection but I haven’t noticed any loss of speed.
