(500) Days of Summer

(500) Days of SummerThis is something you very rarely see, a romantic comedy told in an original way.
The story is the oldest story in the book, boy meets girl gets dumped and then a happy ending of some sort. Where this film excels is how it tells the story. For a start its told in non-chronological order which really works as it keeps you interested. There’s an animated sequence, a dancing sequence and a really good section where the screen is split showing his expectation of what’s going to happen at a party and what really happpens.

Refreshing and different. 8/10

N.B. Also has a great soundtrack which included the Doves and Wolfmother!
