30 years after the final war Eli (Denzel Washington) walks the wasteland, continually heading west and fiercely defending himself and the book that he carries.
We were planning to go and see “up in the air”, but there was something wrong with the film so we opted for this instead and I’m glad we did as we both really enjoyed this film,
It has received mixed reviews and I must be honest I was expecting quite a shallow action movie but the story develops into a thought provoking plot which makes you think how religion can both inspire, and destroy us.
