So after leaving the hospital and getting all our stuff from our poor written off car we booked into a holiday inn. We can’t get a train as we’ve got too much luggage too carry, all the car rental places seem to be closed for the weekend so we maybe here another night. Any suggestions of what to do in sunny Lancaster?

Lancaster is beautiful to walk around. Go to Lancaster House hotel, I think they can use the facilities there. Also the university is lovely!! SO SO sorry to hear about the accident, really hope you are all ok and not too shocked. Lots of love Jo x
At the risk of being boring, Lancaster is right at the centre of English history re. the War of the Roses – it used to be the 3rd city of england behind York and London. Have a good look at the castle and surronds and enjoy.
Thanks Jo for coming to our rescue all the way from oz!
We took Your advice and visited the castle. We went on the tour and it was really interesting. We have also being enjoying the pool and jacuzzi here at the holiday inn which has been a relief for our bruises.
We have car booked for tommorrow so hopefully we should be home tommorrow night.

Shaun So sorry to hear about your accident. I do hope the driver of the other vehicle was insured. I am so glad that you are all safe and not too badly injured. I am glad also that little Emma wasn’t too badly traumatised. Love Ol xx
Glad to hear you are all ok, what a tragic end to your holiday. On the plus, you’re all OK and it sounds like you have enjoyed the extension in Lancaster and you should get a new car out of it! Hope K’s not too sore. Love liz x
