Brendan lives in the Abbey of Kells which is surrounded by a wall to protect it from Viking raiders. Brother Aidan arrives from another monastery carrying an ancient but unfinished book, containing secret wisdom and powers.
To help complete the book, Brendan ventures into the enchanted forest where mythical creatures hide. It is here that he meets the forest sprirt Aisling, who helps him fulfill his quest.
Really enjoyed this wonderful hand drawn animation. The scenes in the forest with Aisling are just beautiful. if you like films like “Howls moving castle” or “Ponyo” you’ll love this.
