Based in 2003 during the time when Bush was justifying going to war with Iraq, this is the story based on the autobiography of Valerie Plame, a CIA agent who was involved in covert operations to stop Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and also investigating whether Iraq had nuclear weapons. Her husband, a diplomat is asked by her colleagues to use his contacts in Niger to find out if Iraq had acquired uranium. Is the result of their investigations what the Bush administration want to hear?
I really enjoyed this, a great bit of casting putting Naomi Watts and Sean Penn together. A very interesting story which really makes you wonder about how dodgy the justification for the war was.

That was 21 grams. A lot of people liked that film but it wasn’t for me, I found it bit dark and depressing.

yeah and very confusing. I hated Penn for years but now think he’s excellent! Have you seen that Tree of Life yet?
