Queenstown

Is awesome, much better than we thought it was going to be. There is loads and loads to do and it’s a really nice, very chilled town. You could easily spend a fortune doing everything it has to offer. We went on the Skyline Gondola and Emma and I went on the luge a couple of times, which was really cool. We also went jet boating across lake Wakatipu. and up Shotover River it was great fun, the 360 degree spins were the best. Emma enjoyed it but it wasn’t high adrenalin enough for her so she fell asleep!

We stayed overnight in Queenstown and woke up to really heavy rain and it continued to pour pretty much all day so we decided to get some miles covered so we drove up to lake Wanaka calling in at Puzzle world on the way and stayed over at our first DOC site. It was fine, a really nice location right on the lakeside.

  3. Well you certainly seem to be having a good time and as Emma’s such a daredevil she’s not cramping your style at all. Continue the good time and keep up with the blog. It’s so great to be able to follow you on your journey through such lovely places.

  5. Ah, you can still see the marks on the luge track where I crashed – big time – racing with a load of mates a few years back.

With an average age of 40, you’d think we should have known better. Oh no, it was an absolute hoot! We were like a load of kids. Great fun.
