Fred Jones is a government expert in salmon fisheries. When consultant Harriet Chetwode-Talbot representing a sheikh asks for help to introduce salmon fishing to Yemen, Fred rejects the idea as unfeasible. However, the Prime Minister’s press secretary, latches onto it as a “good will” story to distract the voters from ongoing bad news out of Afghanistan, and pressures Fred into working with Harriet.
A sweet, light-hearted, ever so british, romantic comedy carried really by the chemistry between Ewan Macgregor (Fred) and Emily Blunt (Harriet). Don’t expect too much from it and you’ll enjoy it. A nice film too watch with your bird!
