A year after his brothers death Jack is still struggling to deal with the loss. His best Friend Iris suggests he stays at her fathers cabin to get his head together. When he arrives he meets Iris’ sister Hannah who is also seeking solace from the abrupt end of a seven-year relationship. A night of boozing ends in a very awkward encounter complicated further by Iris’s arrival the next morning but that is just the start of it…
Not your conventional comedy or drama. I think a lot of the script is improvised and as a result there is a lot of dialogue which gives the film a theatrical feel. Its a story of loss, coming to terms with it and moving on. I really enjoyed watching these three people gradually iron out some big issues together. Very well acted and shot in a gorgeous location (I want a cabin like that).
