A documentary about how French confidence man Frédéric Bourdin, impersonated Nicholas Barclay, a Texas boy who had disappeared at the age of 13 in 1994. Quite incredibly the family accept that Bourdin really is Nicholas, despite the fact he has brown eyes, has an accent and dyed dyed blonde hair rather than Nicholas’s blond hair and blue eyes.
Extremely well made, with a mixture of interviews with the real people involved including Bourdin and acted scenes. Fascinating and quite chilling are the family entirely innocent of any involvement in Nicholas’s disappearance?
