After a long long long day Emma was born by caesarian section at about 11pm last night.
K did incredibly well, she wanted a home birth and she was in labour all day with only gas and air for pain relief but Emma just wouldn’t come. So at 8pm she went into hospital. By now K was exhausted and was struggling to cope with the pain so she had a epidural and they tried to use a ventose suction cup but that didn’t work so a caesarian it was.
So I’m home alone tonight 🙁 I feel pretty zonked out and K was really tired when I left her and its been a weird old day and I don’t think I’ve realised that I’m an actual dad yet. I think its going to take me a couple of days, probably when I bring my girls home.
N.B Emma weighed 7lb 11ozs so she’s quite a chunk!

oh shaun, many many congratulations, i have been watching this website with bated breath… she is so beautiful. a big well done to K too! at the end of the day a healthy baby is all that matters, enjoy her shaun, they are so very precious. Congratulations to you both! Shaun, better get used to being tired mate it lasts for about twenty years! This is the part where life suddenly accelerates and the years start to fly by!
