Arbitrage

Gere plays Robert Miller, a very rich manager of a hedge fund which he needs to sell pretty sharpish as he’s cooked the books to plug a hole in the finances and although he portrays himself as a family man he’s got a bird on the side who he accidentally kills in a car crash. So he’s got a lot on his plate but can he keep himself out of trouble?

This is really good film and it really reminded me of “Unfaithful” the difference being however that film was better because you cared more about the character and he had your sympathy, however, in this film everything he does is to protect himself and his reputation.

I still recommend it though because Gere is fantastic in this role, he’s a great actor and I think having watched this I’ll have to rewatch “Unfaithful” and “Internal Affairs” and check out some of his other films I haven’t seen.
