Ive been entering the ballot for this ride since it began in 2013 and this year I’ve got in!
Starting at the Olympic park the 100 mile route goes on closed roads through London, into Surrey and back into London finishing on the Mall.
I’m very excited but gotta get training!

Nice one. Places are still available for London to Paris you know….. and it’s a reduced sponsorship target for 2 riders 🙂

Never mind these ‘flat’100 miler’s! Sign yourself for a proper ride. I did the Dragon Ride a good few years back and, man, that was a grueller! Trained like buggery for months in the Peak District but have never climb hills like the one’s I rode on the 150km course I did. One of the climbs was 18%!!!!! Only short but still ripped my legs off. Whole ride took me 8 hours. I rode it with a couple of other guys who I just happened to latch on to on one of the climbs. The worst part was, when we got to the finish, everyone had packed up and gone home. How rude!
How rude indeed! I have got the “mighty” Box Hill to climb! 🙂
