We went on a hot date last night. Chris and Derek had Emma for the evening so we went for tea at the lemon tree in Colchester, I had a sort of posh Bangers and mash which was yummy.
After tea we went to see “I am legend”, I thought it was really good, the shots of deserted New York with overgrown streets, wildlife, and the remains of the chaos that ensued when the virus took hold are amazing. The action scenes are good, really tense but I did feel that the ending was a bit rushed and that this section of the film could have gone deeper.
Its a fascinating story, so I am going to read the original 1954 book by Richard Matheson and I would also like to watch the other film adaptation “The Omega man” which starred Charlton Heston.
