Had a fantastic 10 days in Slovenia. The weather was superb, not a drop of rain and sun, sun, sun, every day. Although, it was a bit too hot some days. The house was lovely, all recently renovated and high up in the hills in a little village near lake Bohinj. We’ve been boating, hiking, visiting Caves, castles and swimming in the lakes at Bohinj and Bled and even chilled out a bit.
First evening at the house in Koprivnik (with buddies!)
Central Kopivnik – busy isnt it? our house was just off picture to the right.
We had a couple of days by Lake Bohinj just hanging out, swimming and rowing a boat around the lake
Emma loved this!
We did some walking…
Our attempted walk to Gorjuse we got a bit lost but we found a lovely meadow.
Walk up to Mostnica Waterfall
View from a viewpoint near the house
We also visited the Škocjan Cave System which is just amazing. The highlight of which is an underground cavern called Martels Chamber which is 308 meters long, 89 meters wide and 106 meters high. We werent allowed to take pictures on the tour but I have found this one
The tour ends through the main entrance of the Caves into beautiful gorge which looks so prehistoric and magical you can imaging pterodactyls swooping overhead.
Predjama Castle
Lake Bled
Vintgar Gorge
A lovely walk along this gorge. Some brave people were jumping in – very brave it was freezing!
Radovljica
Lunch in the “Gostilina Lectar”

Hi Shaun I am afraid it is a while since I checked you blog. However the photos are brilliant and I have really enjoyed catching up with your trips. I believe you’re off again next week. Enjoy!xx
