This film starts at a party in Manhatten where your are introduced to the characters and they are such a bunch of numbnuts that you are hoping they’ll all die quite violently. I suspect that this was planned by the writers so you are more or less braying for blood when the monster and his buddys finally strike.
The whole film is shot on a handicam and it does give the film a “real” quality and its quite different from your normal monster movie where you just watch the monster most of the time, most of the action is seen from a distance and you get a real feel of the terror caused.
Overall pretty good, watch it with some mates after a couple of beers and laugh at the characters as they get killed off, my favourite quote “oh god its a terrible thing”
