The ban on drinking on public transport in London came into force at midnight last night and thousands of people had a party on the tube to celebrate. Liverpool St underground station and few others was closed. Was this a party to celebrate or are they giving the finger to a nanny state?

The drunken behaviour of these people reinforces the argument that an alcohol ban is needed on the Underground. What a naff way for these lemmings to spend a Saturday evening anyway-drinking and vomiting at Liverpool Street Station-refined or what!
