Amazing photos on the Big Picture of the Hadron Collider which is due to be switched on over the coming months. its £5 billion 17 mile long acclerator which will be used to collide sub-atomic particles in a bid to recreate the first moments after the the big bang. Its all way over my head but the pictures are amazing.
There are also some fantastic pictures of Jupiter and its moons.

I read a BBC article that said there were concerns that the experiments conducted here could, in theory, create an unstable black hole that would consume the Earth. Scary stuff! We’re all doomed!!!!!!!!!
