A film about William Wilberforce and his campaign against slavery. It was pretty good with good performances by Michael Gambon and Albert Finney. It was difficult to get into it properly as the DVD kept jumping (Bring on downloads) but its definitely worth a watch.
For me the scenes in the house of commons where Wilberforce is trying to persuade MPs whose constituents are benefiting from slavery to ban slavery, drew parallels with today’s arguments to combat climate change.
