Thomas Craven (Mel) picks up his daughter, Emma who has returned home to visit. She vomits while getting into the car. At home, as Thomas prepares a meal, Emma starts to nosebleed and vomits again, and then says that she needs to see a doctor and tell him something. As they leave to find a hospital, a masked gunman yells “Craven!” and then fires and shoots Emma before driving away. Blasted through the door, she dies in Thomas’ arms. Was the killer meant to shoot Thomas or was Emma the target?
Not bad, Mel’s pretty good but the script is a bit clunky and I found myself shouting advice to Mel as he investigates his daughters murder. Some of the scenes looked like they were from some dodgy BBC from the 70’s (see scene when Mel is talking to his daughter whilst driving in the rain, he hardly looks at the road) that said, its quite enjoyable, just don’t expect too much from it.
