Its 2154, the very wealthy live on a man-made space station called Elysium while the rest of the population lives on a ruined Earth. Max, an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium, reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission that could save his life and the lives of millions on Earth.
Plenty of action, Matt Damon is really good, its a thoroughly enjoyable film. I do think that the story about Elysium could have been developed further but this doesn’t really let the film down. Great performance from Sharlto Copley who played Wikus in Neil Blomkamps previous film District 9. Is it as good as District 9 ? not quite.
