Fatty and Lewis have been to stay this week so the girls have been off gallivanting all over the place including Walton, Kentwell Hall and Ipswich.
Its been great to have them and K has really enjoyed the sisterly time, although I’ve felt sorry for Al being home alone.
Lewis is a great little chap he hasn’t been any trouble at all. I love watching him when he’s sat in his Bumbo he just hangs out and watches everything going on around him.
Guest Posting by Fatty – Our week at Trevenna!
Me & Lewis set off for Essex on 17th August, a whole week with my sis, YES!
On Saturday we took Lewis for his first swim. We put him in the swim seat but it was pretty high so in the end I held him under the arms and after a while his arms started to turn blue!! Think I was holding him a tad bit too tightly! He didn’t cry though so that was good!
He also had his first taste for solid foods. We gave him some baby porridge and he’s now lapping it up and crying if we stop feeding him! He’s taken to it really well so I’m going to puree up some fruit next week
‘Twas Debbie’s birthday on the Sunday so we visited her and Lauren had a little hold of Lewis and I took a lovely piccie.
We did loads and although the weather was rubbish we made the most of out time together. We visited Auntie Marg who’s doing really well, we saw Gill & John’s new house which is lovely, the garden is great! Me & K also visited the girls from Colne Harmony and took Lewis along. He wanted to do some singing of his own and he started wailing as they were getting ready to practice a new song they’re working on – keep up the work girls!!! We didn’t stay long and crept out as they were all sing-songing away but someone clocked us and said “Caz are you off” and all these heads turned round and looked at us, gulp how embarassing!
Me, Mum, K & Lewis went off to Walton and borrowed K’s friends beach hut, good job as it did rain but we made the most of it and had a sing song in the hut and took Lewis for his first walk on the beach, that made his eyes water! We also took him on the pier and we had doughnuts (not Lewis though), mmmmmmmmmmmm! Had a good old laugh and can’t wait to do it again!
Then on Friday me, K, Mum, Dad & Lewis went to Kentwell Hall which was excellent. It was a re-enactment weekend so there were people dressed up and talking in character. As they passed you they said Good Day and it made me chuckle hearing Derek say Good Day to ya!!! Lewis enjoyed his tour around the house, I put him in his carrier and he had a fine old time sucking on his bib and taking it all in! The weather couldn’t have got much worse, well it could have flooded and snowed so I guess it wasn’t too bad! The classic 1 liner came from Dad on that Friday (on this day)! “I tell ya what you don’t see in Colchester no more…………..nuns”!!!! Oh how we laughed! Then he went on to talk about darkies working at Kentwell Hall and how they’d have to let them in although darkies weren’t invented then, etc!!! Del how you make us laugh!
I also visited Jane & Gary and get this, Jane kissed Lewis on the head!! It was lovely to see them although Gary was going out to one of his meetings so only saw him briefly. They’re getting into real ales so I see a few dinners in the pipeline at the Taylor’s house!!
I’m sure I may have missed some bits out, oh yes me & K also took Lewis to the farmers market and to see the animals in Coggeshall.
It was a fab week although the drive home was crap – 5 hours as I had to come back cross country as the M25 was gridlocked! Oh well, got here eventually and although Lewis did wail he calmed down in the end!
Thank you guys for a brilliant time. Looking forward to the 8th, Klooty here we come!
