Stayed up watching this film until nearly 1am last night as I was still buzzing after college (even k stayed awake!). I have seen it before but every time I see it I enjoy it even more.

Its a story about John Sullivan a policeman, who discovers his dads old ham radio and begins transmitting.

Due to Aurora Borealis activity, he ends up talking to his dad, Frank, who had died 30 years previously. Frank is a fireman and John is able to warn him about him how he died in a fire and so, saves his life.

However, by saving his dad, he changes time. Previously, his mum who is a nurse wasn’t at work because Frank had died. Now, she is at work, and saves the life of a man who turns out to be the “Nightingale Killer,” who had already killed four nurses, Now, he goes on to kill a total of ten, one of which is John’s mother.

So, using information from the police files on the killings, John and Frank work together across time to find the murderer and save his mum.

Its a little gooey in places, but I love the scenes where he is just chatting to his dad about baseball and stuff and then of course you’ve got the tense scenes when they are trying catch the murderer and then you’ve even got a bit of sci-fi thrown in. I also really like how the changes that frank makes in the past immediately effect Johns present.
