Listened to a really good documentary on Radio 4 today. Its called Archive on 4 and it’s about George Blake, who for 18 years, served as a trusted and senior MI6 officer. But secretly, in 1952, he became a double agent, betraying MI6 operations and personnel to the KGB. He was eventuallyexposed and was sentenced to 42 years imprisonment. But in 1966 he escaped from Wordwood Scrubs and fled to Russia. An amazing story, and its fascinating to listen to Blake himself describe it.
