It was World Book day Yesterday and Emma’s School had a “Mad Hatters Tea Party”
The kids had been given the task of writing a description of a mad hatters tea party and Emma’s (which is below) was included in the School newsletter. (Proud dad)
“In a pretty little cottage in a butter cup field an amazing tea part was being prepared for Lara, Jessie, Yvie and Emma. A long table had been prepared with a red table cloth and white polka dots. On the table were three red, small buckets filled with purple and yellow pansies and a beautiful cake stand piled with fairy cakes. The fairy cakes had strawberry icing and sponge around a strawberry in the middle. Two china jugs with Ribena and sweet orange juice. Swiss rolls were piled on pink plate. On the white ceiling flowery bunting draped down from the old wooden beams. The bunting with a red ribbon, was swaying in a slight breeze. The pansies, waiting to be watered, ruffled their lacey leaves. In the room the clock was ticking. As the time grew nearer the organisers made final touches. Happily, the girls skipped in sitting down they smiled through the open doors the sun was shining”.
