The Story of Harvey Milk who in 1977 was the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California. He served 11 months in office, campaigning for gay rights and other causes until he was assassinated in 1978.
This is an excellent film, more of a docudrama really but still really good. Milk was a fascinating character and Sean Penn is just brilliant.Well worth a watch.
