Ridiculous

I can’t believe this, according to the Times “Britain cuts down forests to keep ‘green’ power stations burning”

A new government subsidised Biomass plant in Port Talbot will require 3 million tonnes of wood a year. 90% 0f which will be imported from Brazil, Canada, South Korea and Scandinavia. The wood will also need to be baked first because of pest control laws.So let me get this right, we chop down a tree which is removing carbon from the atmosphere, cut it up and bake it, ship it thousasnds of miles and then burn it. Meanwhile we throwing an estimated 4.5 million tonnes of wood into a landfill every year. Does that make any sense at all?
