Slumdog Millionaire is told a series of flashbacks. 18-year-old Jamil is being interrogated , and is forced to explain how he came to know the answers that have put him one question away from winning “who wants to be a millionaire”
Each flashback is a story from his childhood of how he survived life in the slums of Mumbai and his adventures as he and his brother travelled around. Also, how he met latika, the love of his life who was wrenched away from him and how he has, ever since, tried to get her back.
Danny Boyle has made an excellent film. It is textured, vibrant, and really loud. Each flashback is tense, moving and sometimes funny.
Do yourself a favour, do not miss this film!
