Spider’s Morning – By Emma

Agatha’s web was laden with moisture droplets on that fine morning. She had spent almost all of her hours under the moon, piecing together and patching up her beautiful web. Now, it hung, reflecting the golden rays of the early morning sun, between two gnarled, weary branches of an ancient oak tree.

It and its inhabitant watched silently, as the sun, in all its splendour and beauty, climbed the ascent which was the bleak early-morning sky and hung there. In doing so, it shed it’s immortal light on the waking world and poured happiness into Agatha’s very soul.

This rare feeling of joy awoke this humble spider from a deep slumber which had been without the fire of happiness. This was the spark that would light that fire and burn as pure joy within this creature.

As the inferno burned, there were a million things Agatha wanted to do, see and feel. As a result, this regular garden spider left her dew-filled web and headed into the light of the rising sun…….
