This is a really odd film, its got some great ideas and some really tense scenes but I’m not sure exactly what Shyamalan was hoping to achieve. It seems that he wrote a few really good scenes but then thought…. how do I string this all together…. I know I’ll just include some really lame stuff, it’ll be alright no-one will notice – but you really do notice – some scenes are funny because they are so ridiculous and others you just think – what’s that all about?
I think he was trying to create the feeling of a B-movie but to see Wahlberg acting really cheesy was a bit embarrassing.
That said, overall we quite enjoyed it. Don’t get this as a Saturday night movie this is more of a wet afternoon movie.
