16 year old Thomas wakes up in an elevator wakes up inside an underground service elevator with no memory of his identity. When the lift opens he is met by a large group of boys who all live in “the glade” an area surrounded by huge stone walls which contain the Maze. During the day, designated Runners search the Maze for an escape route, returning before nightfall when the entrance closes. No one has ever survived a night inside the Maze which is patrolled by the grievers deadly techno-organic creatures that roam the Maze at night….
Ive read these books and this is a perfectly good adaptation. The scenes in the Maze are very good and I was really impressed with the sound design which really puts you on edge.
I would give at an 8 but K really enjoyed it and gives it a solid 9.
