A remake of Marcel Pagnols 1940 film “La Fille du Puisatier”.
Pascal Amoretti, in pre-World War I France, is torn between his sense of honour and his love for his daughter when she gets in trouble with the wealthy son of a shopkeeper.
If you have seen any of the Marcel Pagnol films you will enjoy this. Great shots of the lovely french countryside which cheers you up no end after all the rain we’ve had. A sweet amusing film well worth a watch.
