K and I have been touring and camping for three days this week, cycling a 150 mile circular route around Suffolk.
Day one, we cycled to a campsite called Alde Garden in Sweffling near Saxmundham. Its probably one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed on, all the pitches were dotted around in an area that had been allowed to grow naturally with chickens and ducks roaming around and it had the best equipped communal kitchen with everything you needed including hot water bottles which made K very happy.
You could also stay in one of these caravans, a yurt or a wigwam.
Day 2 we cycled to Thornham Magna stopping off at Halesworth and visiting St. Peters Brewery I felt like I was on a pilgrimage!)The brewery is in farm buildings behind St.Peters hall, a beautiful moated manor house. We sat by the moat and had a pint and a really nice lunch – a perfect day!

Day 3 we headed home stopping off at Kersey for a pint on the way. Its been a great trip through a beautiful area with some wonderful villages. Made me feel quite patriotic. I even hummed the Archers theme tune as I pedalled!

Thanks again, Chris & Derek for staying at ours and looking after Emma.
