This was quite an adventure for me as I have only ever been to a zoo once (I think) and that was about thirty years ago. Emma has been, but she was only about 5 months old so it was a big day for both of us.
Colchester zoo is fantastic, reputed to be one of the best in Europe, there is loads to see, the enclosures are really big, clean, and well maintained and it was a splendid day out. I even got to feed an elephant!
