Went to see “We own the night” with Corky tonight. It stars Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg and its written and directed by James Gray who made one of my favourite films, “The Yards“.
Based in New York in the 80’s its an excellent story about a fractured family brought together in the war on drugs. James Gray’s direction is superb, the car chase scene particularly, is brilliantly shot (dead tense).
A right good watch with a good tense story.
