Weekend in London

We had a fantastic weekend in London. We headed in yesterday afternoon and went to “Winter Wonderland” in Hyde Park. I had heard it was big, but I was really impressed how big it actually was. There was loads of rides and a fantastic market but it was so busy. Once you got out of the Christmas market it wasn’t too bad. The rides were really good and when Emma is older I can see it costing me a fortune but there was plenty for the little ones and she had a lovely time.

After the Wonderland we went to Wagamama for a gorgeous tea and then headed to the “London Central” Youth Hostel where we stayed the night. It was really good (I had managed to get it virtually free with my Tesco vouchers). We had a family room with an en-suite and it was fine. No frills, just good simple accommodation.

Sunday, we headed up to Regents Park and then to Hamleys. The store doesn’t open to 12 and there must have been a thousand or more people waiting to get in. Having never been before I was pretty blown away by the size of it. Emma was very impressed but surprisingly once she had got her Fairy Barbie she was quite happy and didn’t ask for anything else.

After a lunch in a pub we went down to Covent garden and then headed home. A right good weekend.
